A fun training day covering all you need to know to volunteer at the spectacular Longton Carnival and Pig Walk Parade.
The training will be held at the Urban Wilderness base at The Moony Club, 15 Bennett Precent, Longton Exchange, Stoke-on-Trent, ST3 2HT. Brews and snacks on offer.
We'll tell you everything you need to know about the event, allocate a suitable role so you can help bring the town to life and make a difference. Roles include event and parade stewards and performer support. You'll be provided with refreshments on the event day as well as a unique event T-shirt.
The venue is step-free and wheelchair accessible. Toilets are gender-neutral but located up two flights of stairs, which may be difficult for those with accessibility needs. The nearest accessible toilet is The Coffee House, around 200 metres away.
Longton Train Station is less than a 5-minute walk from the venue. There are multiple bus stops along The Strand, with services to and from Newcastle and Hanley.
