We’re looking for dedicated volunteers to help clean the historic Salina saltpans! 🏺 Built by the Knights of St. John, these saltpans are an important part of Malta’s heritage, and you have the chance to play a role in keeping this centuries-old tradition alive. Before the salt harvest in late July, the saltpans need to be drained, repaired, and cleaned—and that’s where we need your help! Join us for a day of teamwork and discovery as we prepare the pans for the season ahead.

This is a unique opportunity to get hands-on with Malta’s cultural and natural heritage while making a real impact. We will Scrub, power-wash, and clean the saltpans to prepare them for the next stage of the salt production cycle.
Spend the day outdoors, meet like-minded people, and contribute to preserving history. Plus, you’ll learn about the ancient craft of salt harvesting, a practice that has been passed down for generations!
