Many hands make light work! Come join our volunteer team on Sunday, April 27!NO NEED TO SIGN UP - JUST SHOW UP
We need volunteers to help sort and size clothes for our big event. There are some great perks to volunteering:
*You don't have to pay the $1 fee.
*You get first pick of the clothes.
*You get an allotted number of bags to fill.
*Lunch for our volunteers is on us!
*You can make new friends.
*You can feel good about helping your community.
There are a few RULES for volunteering that we highly appreciate each volunteer respecting.
1. We will begin at 9 am and end at 3 pm.
2. Once at God's Closet you will need to sign-in and sign-out. This is required EACH time you leave and return.
3. A minimum of 2 hours work is REQUIRED in order to be able to get first pick at God’s Closet. Volunteers can stay and help for as long as they wish.
4. You are ONLY welcome to shop AFTER you are finished volunteering for two hours. If, while you are sorting donations, you find something you would like to keep for yourself, you may set it aside. However, it is not allowed to come to 'volunteer' but end up shopping instead. That's unacceptable.
5. We offer an allotted number of bags of free children's clothes to all volunteers + 2 large items (jacket, blanket etc.). We provide the bags. THIS RULE CANNOT BE BROKEN.
6. Shopping is only allowed once. So even if you return to volunteer a second time, or on another day, you will not be able to shop again. Regardless of the amount of hours, its only three bags per family.
7. After shopping during our Set Up Day(s) volunteers cannot return on April 21 to shop. We consider that double dipping! And that's not cool with us. 🙁
8. God's Closet does not provide childcare during our Set Up Day(s). Unfortunately, due to space restrictions and safety, young children are NOT allowed at God's Closet during our Set Up/Sort Day. We make an exception for young nursing infants. Teenagers who are old enough to help sort the clothes are welcomed.
9. The ministry of God’s Closet will not be responsible for any lost, stolen or damaged personal items while volunteering for God’s Closet.
10. LUNCH IS ALWAYS ON US. Volunteers who remain after 12:00pm are welcome to stay and enjoy a FREE lunch.

If traveling from Elkins, go north on 250. Turn right onto Kennedy Street and go .8 mile, passing North School. The Elkins Seventh-day Adventist Church/Highland Adventist School is on the left.
