Help with taking care of some of your favorite parks and trails! Join the BPRD natural resources and trails team to pull weeds, remove trash, close off unofficial trails, and plant native vegetation at several volunteer projects scheduled throughout the summer. - Wednesday, June 24 – Trail work
Volunteers will help staff the closure/removal of social trails and assist with trail reinforcement/restoration work. Volunteers will need to walk to the project site.
Location: Shevlin Park
Time: 9:00 am - 12:00 pm
- Saturday, July 11 – Annual river clean up event
As part of the Upper Deschutes Watershed Council annual river clean up event, volunteers will help with social trail/access point closure/removal and W**d pull. Volunteers will walk upriver on the trail.
Location: Farewell Bend Park south to the Deschutes River Trail
Time: 9:00 am - 1:00 pm
- Wednesday, July 29 – W**d pull and litter clean up
Help with pulling weeds and picking up litter.
Location: Pine Nursery Park Off Leash Area
Time: 8:00 am - 11:00 am
- Saturday, August 22, Location and details TBD
- Saturday, October 3 – Planting native species
Volunteers will help plant native species. Participants will need to be able to hike approximately 1 mile down and back up a steep trail to get to the project site.
Location: Riley Ranch Nature Reserve - lower canyon area
Time: 9:00 am - 12:00 pm
