Volunteer with us on the wear blue Tribute mile at the SATX Marathon in San Antonio on December 7, 2025Who: We warmly welcome individuals of all ages and abilities to join us! Family Friendly event - bring the kids
What: Tribute wear blue Mile; Hold an American flag in honor of a fallen service member as thousands of runners pass through. The sea of waving flags will become a living memorial to the service and sacrifice of the American military, ensuring no fallen hero is forgotten.
When: Sunday, December 7, 2025.
Please arrive at the parking lot by 5:40-5:50 a.m. to avoid road closures taking effect at 6:00 a.m.
Where: wear blue Tribute Mile,
Brackenridge Park Entrance, 985 E Hildebrand Ave, San Antonio, TX 78212
- Enter the park from E. Hildebrand Ave.
- Turn onto Brackenridge Drive
- 0.2 miles to the parking lot by the Lambert Beach Softball Field
(You may also park along Brackenridge Drive if space permits)
- Follow signs & walk 0.2 miles along Brackenridge Drive
to where it intersects with Tuleta Drive
- Volunteer check-in will be in the lot on that corner.
NOTE: With the closure of E. Hildebrand Ave. at 6 a.m., it will be critical to have volunteers in the parking lots by between 5:40 a.m. and 5:50 a.m. to ensure access.
Why/How:
Join us for a rewarding day of service! The work is light, and the benefits are tremendous. As a token of our appreciation, each volunteer will receive a free shirt, along with coffee, drinks, and delicious snacks. On that special morning, we'll unite in a circle to honor the brave service members whose names we will speak aloud along the Tribute Mile. Then with flags in hand & lined up along the Mile, we'll cheer for the runners, celebrating the courage and lives of those who have sacrificed so much. It's an incredible honor to stand with the families of these heroes, preserving their stories and legacies. Together, we'll build a Mile that reflects the unwavering strength, resilience, and compassion of our community, ensuring that their legacy is cherished forever. Let's make this a beautiful day of remembrance and unity!
