The Cultural Arts Council of Douglasville/Douglas County (CAC) announces its next Volunteer Luncheon! The event will be held on Friday, August 22nd, from 11:30 am to 1:30 pm at the historic Cultural Arts Center house located at 8652 Campbellton St. Douglasville 30135. The CAC will be hosting lunch, a volunteer information session, and a creative activity. Volunteering at the CAC is a great way to make a positive difference in Douglasville/Douglas County while also meeting fellow art enthusiasts.CAC volunteers answer the phone, register students for art classes, take reservations for upcoming events, answer questions about the community for visitors and tourists, provide information on our exhibitions and the historic Roberts-Mozley house, help with mailings and program promotions, and assist the staff with everyday operations of the Cultural Arts Council. Special event volunteers sign up for specific tasks and times during one of the many annual events hosted by the CAC. Events with volunteer opportunities include but are not limited to: The Mad Hatter’s Tea Party, the Chili Cookoff, and the Taste of Douglasville festival in downtown Douglasville.
