About this Event
We will be cleaning up the park by removing woody plants from the meadow and picking up trash.
The meadow at Palmer Park is part of the Detroit Bird City project to install meadow habitat at Detroit City parks. These meadows beautify the neighborhood for community members and provide valuable bird and pollinator habitat In 2020, we planted two acres of meadow full of native flowers and grasses. After a couple years the meadow has successfully established and now we are planting another nine acres of meadow at Palmer Park.
