Solidarity with African and colonized peoples, from North St. Louis to Minneapolis to Palestine! Bring your skills, talents and passion to a Volunteer Day at the Uhuru Solidarity Center to support social and economic justice and reparations for the black community of North St. Louis and build solidarity with African, Indigenous and oppressed peoples everywhere!
Participate in forwarding the work of the Reparations Investment Company, a bold new African-led initiative to rebuild North St. Louis through community-driven “renovation that contends with gentrification.” RIC is the latest expansion of the Black Power Blueprint, transforming the northside through African self-determination (). Help make calls, distribute flyers and posters, and research and engage with community organizations and media outlets to build the movement for reparations and solidarity with African people!
Volunteering will occur Feb 7th, 10am - 3pm at the Uhuru Solidarity Center at 2654 Gravois Ave, St. Louis
Materials and training will be provided as well as snacks and water, bring yourself, comfy clothes, and a computer if you have one.
Uhuru Solidarity Movement is the organization of white people formed by and working under the leadership of the African People’s Socialist Party building white solidarity with Black Power. USM stands in defense of African and Indigenous people against the escalation of colonial attacks by ICE. Volunteers will learn how we can go beyond protest and build material solidarity with the anti-colonial struggle to build a new world without oppression and exploitation.
