About this Event
No special skills are needed to volunteer at Bath Half - just bring lots of enthusiasm!
You can volunteer as an individual, with friends or family, or as a group. We welcome community groups and young person groups to get involved.
There are a whole range of different roles available on race day, with something to suit everyone including:
- Cheer on the runners and give out water or energy gels along the route, located in 4 different locations
- Support the Runners Bag Drop marquee at the event village at Royal Victoria Park and chat to runners pre and post-race
- Be a Course Marshal along the route, directing and cheering on runners
- Help on the finish line at Royal Avenue, cheering on runners and handing out medals and t-shirts to the finishers
All volunteers receive an exclusive event t-shirt and jacket, lunch and refreshments, Tempo Time Credits (a fantastic national reward scheme for volunteers) and on the day support from a supervisor. You'll meet lots of great people - some of our volunteers have been with us for 10 years!
Volunteering is a great way to have fun, make friends, enhance your CV and experience the electric atmosphere of race day. So if you want to have a great day out and find out what mass running races are all about, then why not volunteer?!
PLEASE NOTE: The minimum age for volunteering is 14. Please contact us if you are aged 14 -17 and would like to get involved.
If you are part of a local community or youth group that might be interested in volunteering, we would love to hear from you. We have previously been supported by the police cadets and girl guides, as well as social running groups, faith groups and many more. We also offer corporate volunteering days. If your business has corporate social responsibility goals or would like to enjoy a team building day out of the office, please get in touch.
Come along and join us - we're a friendly bunch!
