About this Event
BASE (British Association for Supported Employment) are delivering two vocational profiling workshops for Dorset Council area Career Leaders, Heads of Sixth Form, Job Coaches, Work-Experience Placement coordinators within our colleges (foundation learning), special schools, learning centre’s, alternative provisions and independent specialist providers
his free online training delivered via Teams is provided as part of the Internships Work initiative and the Supported Internship project.
The content for each session will include:
- An overview of the Supported Employment model and core values.
- Where Vocational Profiling sits, its relevance and importance.
- Vocational Profiling techniques; to include sources of information, use of work experience and tasters.
- Recording the information.
- Activity in groups using live examples and/or ones the trainer has.
- Feedback.
- Recap and use of Vocational Profiling for pupils and students.
There are 2 date & time options for up to 16 attendees. These dates are set for early in the academic year to best support any new uptake of students.
