About Nicolas Bearde
Nicolas Bearde, a GRAMMY®-nominated jazz vocalist, is celebrated for his remarkable depth, range, and technique. Born and raised in Nashville, Tennessee, Bearde’s love for jazz and R&B classics was nurtured by his mother’s passion for music. His journey took him to Japan during his military service, where he performed extensively on the R&B circuit. Later, he made his home in the San Francisco Bay Area, honing his jazz chops and developing an intimate approach to performing. Bearde’s buttery baritone and imaginative interpretations have won acclaim from critics and jazz audiences worldwide. He has shared the stage with luminaries like Louis Hayes, Jonathan Batiste, and Wynton Marsalis. His 2016 release, “INVITATION,” sizzles with selections from the classic jazz songbook, featuring arrangements by Grammy-winner Nat Adderley Jr. and guest appearances by sax legend Vincent Herring. Whether performing his originals, time-tested standards, or blues, Bearde’s soulful, swinging, and improvisational style captivates audiences.
