This April 11, Tatianah Thunberg and Irene Soléa Antonellis invite you into the first of three special Bringing It Home skill-shares inspired by their participation in Rhiannon’s 2026 All the Way In year-long vocal improvisation program.
Directed by Rhiannon and facilitated by primary teacher Cara Trezise, with guest artists Manel Lignares, Zahara, and Zuza Gonçalves, this international training is deepening their vocal improvisation practice alongside a devoted cohort of twelve artists.
Tatianah and Irene are committed to serving as ambassadors—bringing these musical forms, insights, and embodied discoveries home to their vocal improvisation community in Michigan.
The first Bringing It Home workshop on April 11 offers an introduction into practices from Rhiannon’s body of work known as Vocal River.
Expect spacious guidance, playful rigor, and practices you can carry into your own work as singers, improvisers, song leaders, and community weavers.
Whether you are an experienced improvisational singer or a curious beginner, you will leave feeling more connected to your voice—and to the natural capacity within you to create, express, and make improvisational vocal music with others.
WHAT TO EXPECT:
Singers at Bringing it Home will:
• explore simple yet potent Vocal River forms that cultivate courage, presence, attuned listening, musicality, moving with rhythm, and embodied creative flow
• become part of a vocal “orchestra” of improvisers, building confidence in creating repeating patterns -motor, interlocking, melody, harmony, bass and percussion
• practice singing improvisationally with others in a grounded, embodied, connected, and playful stance
• collaborate in small group and large group ensembles
• learn through witnessing and observing live demonstrations
Vocal improvisation is both vulnerable and exhilarating—whether you are brand new or deeply seasoned. All levels welcome. Come as you are and bring your whole self—shy, bold, nervous, excited, and everything in between. Together we will sing what has never been sung before.
THE SPIRIT OF THE PRACTICE
At Vocal Wilds, we believe the voice carries the wisdom of communion, the stories of our lineages, and the wild intelligence of the natural world. Singing is our birthright—an embodied, communal practice that reconnects us to ourselves and to one another.
Here we gather in circle to breathe, listen, express, play, and remember that singing is a practice of presence—a way of returning to connection.
When people gather to improvise—to sound without a script—something ancient stirs. A field opens where creativity flows freely, bodies soften, and belonging is remembered.
Creative practice is medicine. Community allows that medicine to flourish. And singing—raw, imperfect, spontaneous—can inspire us to reimagine our wholeness.
This is the practice we tend together: a place where voices rise not to impress, but to remember. A place where improvisation becomes a pathway home.
YOUR WORKSHOP FACILITATORS:
Our mission is to create spaces where people can return to the wild intelligence of their voices through improvisational singing, embodied presence, and communal practice. We guide circles where deep listening, imagination, and relational attunement awaken spontaneous song—and where creativity becomes a pathway to healing, belonging and liberation.
