Learn with the Visit Lauderdale Food & Wine Festival throughout the entire festival week. Perfect for home cooks or a unique date night for couples, all of our classes and seminars provide a fun and relaxed setting for all to learn from the pros. Each class starts on time, so we recommend everyone arrive 15 minutes early as to not miss a thing or the welcome cocktail/glass of wine.
Classes are suitable for all skill levels. Each of these classes are for Adults aged 21+ with the exception of Ice Cream & Ohana and Cake Decorating, which is for everyone aged 12+.

Pairing Pizza & Beer with Chef Tom Magaddino - Tuesday, January 20 at 6:30pm at Gulf Stream Brewery

Pizza & Beer, a classic combo, but elevated! This is not the cheap pizza and beer you struggled to scrounge enough money for in college. During this Pairing seminar you’ll taste 5 artisan pizza slices by Pizzeria Magaddino, perfectly paired with delicious brews from Gulf Stream Brewery while learning how to pair the combo on your own.

The Art of Pasta with Chef Jorge Montes - Tuesday, January 20 at 6:30pm at Sistrunk Marketplace

Join Chef Jorge Montes for an upscale twist on Pasta Night, where classic Italian tradition meets refined ingredients. You’ll start the class with a Pistachio Espresso Martini and Wild Mushroom Arancini with Truffle Aioli sure to set the tone for the evening. This hands-on cooking class will guide you through the art of fresh pasta making — from shaping orecchiette and filling ravioli, to mastering the perfect cacio e pepe. Last, but not least, we will plate everything up and enjoy the meal together.

Dive into a tasting seminar to learn about the differences in the seemingly similar – yet incredibly varied – world of whisk(e)ys! You’ll learn about the nuances that make each type of this beloved brown spirit unique from the others, sampling four types before making two classic cocktails, the Whiskey Sour and the Boulevardier. Join us at Sweet Aloha Ice Cream with Chef Jimmy Anderson for Ice Cream and Ohana. This all ages class will go through the basics of ice cream making, filled with the aloha spirit! You’ll learn basic ice cream science, best practices in developing an ice cream flavor and how to add mix-ins, variegates and nuts. Guests will then be able to choose to take their creation home as a pint or a quart to share! Minimum age to participate in this experience is 12 years old. All children must be accompanied by an adult.

Join us at MAD Arts for ‘Flow & Feast’ a journey through the realms with Michelle Rassner Cash (Yoga) and Rich Gausman (Sound Bath) of Divine Wave Sound. Next you’ll be treated to plant-based bites by Chef Gabriel and Chef Erica of 2 The Rootss, as well as a variety of wellness beverages and wines by Frey Vineyards, America’s first Organic and Biodynamic winery. Last, but not least, you’ll be able to explore the 20+ art installations within MAD Arts.
No experience needed to partake in Yoga. You must bring your own Yoga mat.

Ever wondered how the pros decorate the beautiful cakes behind the displays at your favorite bakery? In this class you’ll decorate a coastal beach themed cake and learn different piping techniques with a variety of tips. Best of all, you’ll get to take your cake home and eat it too!
