As the Montreal-based label Chez.Kito.Kat Records prepares to celebrate 20 years of activity this coming fall, it presents a special double ambient album release by two artists from Montreal’s new generation, Vivian Li and Dan Planet, distributed by Underscope.To celebrate this double release and bid farewell to White Wall Studio (which will unfortunately be closing its doors permanently this summer) we are organizing an event worthy of these young artists’ talent by hosting a live ambient evening. Montreal-based super duo Zoë (Miette and Physis) will open the night with an ambient DJ set, as only they can, followed by the duo Safia Nihil, heads of Chez.Kito.Kat Records, who will present a selection of their current inspirations. Vivian Li and Dan Planet will then each perform live sets inspired by their respective albums.
Limited-edition cassette versions of both albums will be available, along with a label merchandise stand.
This is a BYOB event, and you are welcome to bring cushions or yoga mats for added comfort. We strongly encourage you to purchase your tickets in advance, as capacity is limited.
