About this Event
Music Director Gerald Elias returns to the Vivaldi by Candlelight stage with a truly unique program, From Discord to Harmony. Inspired by Jean-Féry Rebel’s astonishing Chaos - a piece so daring it still shocks modern audiences - this year’s concert journeys from the elements of earth toward the heavens.
Audiences will experience the Baroque era with dazzling concertos by Antonio Vivaldi and Markus Heinrich Graul for cello, bassoon, and viola, performed by featured soloists Ambrynn Bowman, Ryan Van Liere, and Devan Freebairn. Bach’s radiant Brandenburg Concerto No. 4 lifts us to the celestial sphere, showcasing the brilliance of flutists Christina Castellanos and Jeiran Hasan, joined by violinist Cameron Jeppson. The evening culminates with Vivaldi’s joyful Concerto for Strings in B-flat, bringing the full ensemble together in triumphant harmony.
Join us on December 6 for an extraordinary night of Baroque brilliance, where music transforms discord into harmony, and harmony into peace.
