About this Event
Workshop: In my visual narrative and storytelling workshop, participants are guided in constructing and personal narratives. This workshop builds on my previous sessions at the Galerie für Zeitgenössische Kunst Leipzig (GFZK) and HALLE 14 – Zentrum für zeitgenössische Kunst, focusing on themes such as history, migration, and identity.
About Me:
I am Razi Uddin, a filmmaker and visual artist from Karachi, now based in Leipzig. During my one-year residency at HALLE 14 – Zentrum für zeitgenössische Kunst, I worked on projects like Ingredients of Identity and Layers of Identity. Currently, I am working with the Kurz Film Festival in Hamburg.

Fundraising // Workshop series
This is a series of creative workshops we’re putting on at graumalerei to raise money for Palestine. We are supporting Haneen Koraz, who is running animation workshops for kids in Gaza, currently from refugee tents. I’ve been so inspired and awed by her dedication and resilience in providing relief through art to the children. 100% of your participation fees go to Haneen and the kids.
From Haneen- “ I deeply believe that every person has the right to express himself freely, and that art, making and learning cartoon films is one of the means of free expression, audio-visually, for all segments of society. I tried to change the reality, even if just a little, for the children and women in the tents I have conducted workshops specifically for children.”
Venue: graumalerei
We founded graumalerei in 2016 as a place for art and experimentation. Since then we have put on numerous exhibitions and workshops. We have a focus on drawing and animation and particularly love to put on shows by emerging artists.
Accessiblity: graumalerei is on the ground floor street level with a small step. We have a bathroom, but unfortunately it is not wheelchair accessible.
