About this Event
Visual Diary Drop-in Session
Keeping a visual diary is both a useful personal practice and a valuable tool for artists to develop their own voice, style and techniques. This workshop will offer time, space, materials, and a creative community for you to work on your own visual diary or begin a new practice.
There won't be formal instruction , but Lisa Hsia is available for advice and guidance if needed. Paper and a rotating selection of drawing materials will be provided, but feel free to bring anything of your own that you're accustomed to working with.
All ages welcome - children should be be accompanied by someone older if they need help in drawing/working independantly.
This is one of two sessions - next class on October 20th. Each is charged separately.
Instructor bio: Lisa Hsia is a writer and artist in Oakland. She has been making visual diaries regularly for the past year, and is delighted to share this transformative and joyful practice with others.
