About this Event
The Darien Arts Center invites you to our Visual Arts Studio Open House on Sunday, June 7th from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. This free, family-friendly event celebrates the creativity and talent of our young artists while welcoming the community to experience the joy of the visual arts. This event is for everyone! Whether you are a DAC family already, an artist, or just curious about the Darien Arts Center, this event is for you!
What's Included:
Art Exhibit — See beautiful work created by DAC visual arts students, professionally matted and displayed
Interactive Workshop Stations — Families of all ages can create at four hands-on stations:
- Beading Workshop: Craft unique bracelets and necklaces
- Baseball Cap Design: Personalize with fabric paint and patches
- Frame Decorating: Paint and embellish with acrylic pens and gems
- Grand Collaborative Canvas: Add your brushstrokes to a community painting
Face Painting — Local artist will be on-site
Ice Cream Truck — Special treat for all guests
About the Darien Arts Center Visual Arts Program:
The DAC Visual Arts program offers classes, camps, and workshops for children (ages Pre-K through Grade 6) and adults. From Good Morning Art Camps and Cartooning Camps to the Learn & Relax With The Joys of Drawing & Painting adult series, our experienced instructors create a nurturing environment where artists of all levels can explore, experiment, and express themselves.
