In connection with the Spring 2025 exhibition, ๐๐ฆ๐ท๐ข๐ฏ ๐๐ฉ๐ช๐ฎ๐ฐ๐บ๐ข๐ฎ๐ข: ๐๐ช๐ต๐ถ๐ข๐ญ๐ด, award-winning contemporary multidisciplinary artist Shimoyama will share his creative process, experiences, and inspirations. Shimoyamaโs mixed media works explore gender, sexuality, and cultural identities, interpreting at great depths ideas of vulnerability and transformation. He has exhibited worldwide, most recently a solo show at Serlachius Museum Gรถsta (Mรคnttรค, Finland), and his work is collected by museums and private collections internationally.
This free program begins at 6 p.m. and takes place in McKnight Art Center, room 210 at Wichita State University.
