Mark Hosford, a print artist and professor at VanderBilt University, will join us for the lecture, "Campfire Stories" about his work and experiences. The lecture begins at 5 p.m. Thursday, March 26 in Room 1220 (auditorium) at Jenkins Fine Arts Center on campus. It is a free and public event.
For ADA accommodations, please contact 252-737-1018 or [email protected] at least 48 hours in advance.
Mark has been making screen-prints for more than 25 years, many based on highly narrative drawings, which are often animated, sources for murals and artificial reality experiences.
Professor Hosford is the former Art Department chair and currently a faculty member of more than 20 years at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tenn.
Hosford's lecture is intended to offer significant insight into his work, experiences as an artist and help transition our focus from one amazing artist to the works of more than 70 artists from across North Carolina included in “a State of Printmaking” that will be open in the Gray Gallery. Check out the exhibition through March 27.
