Each year the Berrien Artist Guild (BAG) hosts a Members Gallery Show to encourage its membership to create and display their works. Members are allowed to submit one piece related to the theme and one that is non-related. This year’s theme is The Pearl on Broad Street.
The Box Factory for the Arts is truly a gem! We encourage BAG members to create a piece that highlights the Box’s special qualities in this, our 30th year. The pearl is a symbol of grace, purity, wisdom, all traits reflected in our mission. As the 30th anniversary gift, pearls celebrate unions which have endured and matured, not unlike our Guild. Find something special about the Box Factory that you treasure: history, architectural views of this unique space, classes, people, events, artwork, relationships. Create in any medium. We will expect a ‘BROAD’ interpretation of the theme. You may submit two pieces. While our theme is optional, work that reflects the theme will be installed in the Williams Gallery.
