Start the year with clarity, intention, and community at our Women Veterans Vision Board Party, hosted by Chicago Veterans in collaboration with American Legion Commodore Berry Post #256.

This private, women-only session creates a supportive and empowering space for women veterans to reflect, set goals, and visually map out their dreams for the year ahead. Vision boards are a powerful tool—research shows that people who write down and visualize their goals are significantly more likely to achieve them, because the brain responds to imagery as if it were real, strengthening focus and motivation.

We’ll provide all vision board materials, including boards, magazines, and supplies. You’re also welcome to bring your own images, words, or items that represent your goals and aspirations. Light snacks and wine will be provided to keep the atmosphere relaxed and welcoming.

After the vision board session, we’ll open the night up with Karaoke starting at 8:00 PM, welcoming other veterans for a fun, co-ed social experience. Whether you want to sing, cheer others on, or simply enjoy the energy, it’s a chance to unwind and celebrate.

For those who prefer women-only spaces or need extra time to complete their vision boards, the main hall will remain reserved exclusively for women veterans, ensuring comfort, choice, and flexibility throughout the evening.

Food and Drink Details:

• Bar open for drink purchases
• We will provide soda, water, and wine
• Food options, Pizza, Wings & Salad (if you have dietary restrictions please fill free to bring food, kitchen is available to heat food)

Our events are proudly hosted and produced by women veterans within our community. From mosaic art and cooking classes to networking events and game nights, we are committed to creating spaces that uplift and empower women veterans.

While men comprise 90% of all U.S. veterans, women veterans often face unique challenges that are best supported in intentional, inclusive spaces. Our gatherings offer a platform to connect, share experiences, and build lasting relationships.
