About this Event
With aging comes the loss of strength, muscle mass & tone, balance, coordination, and flexibility. The loss of muscle mass is directly related to the increase in body fat. Weight training increases strength, helps to reduce joint stiffness, improves confidence, and increased the metabolism. Cardiovascular exercise improves mood, aids in weight loss, lowers blood pressure, and strengthens the immune system. Stretching improves flexibility, decreases risk of injury, improves blood flow, and enables muscles to work more efficiently.
The goal of this class is to help to improve all of the above through use of weight training, cardiovascular exercises, and stretching.
