About this Event
Webinar Summary
Human skin acts as the primary barrier between the body and its environment and protects from dehydration and external influences. The critical importance of the skin barrier is often overlooked or underappreciated until the barrier gets damaged, affecting the overall well-being of the individual. This presentation will walk the audience through the basics of skin barrier biology to establish a fundamental understanding of the structure and function of the barrier. Ingredient selection concepts to maintain barrier integrity and/or repair the skin barrier will be also presented. Additionally, methods for studying skin barrier function will be briefly reviewed.
