About this Event
Are you a member of the Transgender, Lesbian, Gay, Bi, or Queer+ community and grieving on Mother's Day? We are having an all-ages event for community members who would like to spend the evening in company. We intned to have surrogate moms on zoom, who--if you like--can provide motherly wisdom up to your comfort level.
This event is for Qmmunity members whose mother (not all scenarios included):
- Has passed away
- Is incarcerated
- Is not emotionally available
- Does not accept you/your identity
OR
- You're a Queer/Trans mother whose children don't accept you
- Relationship with your mother is active, but complicated
- Or any other reason you may be grieving on Mother's Day--basically, if you feel you might need to be here, this space is for you.
We will begin promptly at 5pm, you must be on time to attend. A healing circle is a private space to express your true feelings on Mother's Day--and connect and heal with others. It is not group therapy and is not considered professional mental health advice; it is not supervised by mental health or medical professionals. This virtual event is only a healing circle, the full event will be in person the following day.
