About this Event

Virtual Adult Blended Mental Health First Aid (MHFA)

Join us for the Virtual Adult Blended Mental Health First Aid course via Zoom! This hands-on training helps you learn how to spot and support friends, family, or coworkers facing mental health challenges. It's a great way to boost your confidence and skills in a friendly setting. Don't miss out on this chance to make a real difference!

Mental Heath First Aid (MHFA) teaches you how to identify, understand and respond to signs of mental and substance use challenges among adults.

What it covers: Common signs and sypmtoms of mental health challenges, common signs and symptoms of substance use challenges, how to interact with a person in crisis, how to connect a person with help, and expanded content on trauma, substance use and self-care.

Note: This course has self-paced pre/post work that all learners are required to complete in order to obtain their certification. The pre-work on average takes 2 hours (Modules 1-9) and the post-work takes on average 30 minutes (Modules 11-13). There is also a test after all work is completed. The test is open notes and learners can take it several times until they receive an 80% or higher. Learners will have access to their Connect Dashboard in order to complete all requirements. Your instructor will send you an email with the subject line "MHFA: Let's Get Started!" with instructions and login information.

Cancellation and Refund Policy: If you need to cancel your registration, a refund is available only if cancellation occurs at least one week prior to the training date. Cancellations made within one week of the training are non-refundable. This policy is outlined in the course disclaimer and is acknowledged upon registration.
