About Virgi Dart:
Virgi Dart is a Colombian artist who embodies Latin joy with a migrant soul—an authentic voice that transforms the experience of the diaspora into a sonic celebration. Her artistic vision, NuCumbia, is a vibrant fusion of traditional Latin American rhythms with contemporary sounds, creating a unique musical language that connects cultures, generations, and emotions.
From her roots in Colombia to stages across the United States and Europe, Virgi has built a solid career that positions music as a bridge between identities. Her stage presence and artistic versatility have led her to share the spotlight with renowned artists such as Fonseca, Gipsy Kings, Proyecto Uno, ChocQuibTown, Andrés Cepeda, Santiago Cruz, and Felipe Peláez, solidifying her place within the new wave of global Latin music.
In 2023, she was named first runner-up at the Music Meets Tourism festival in Gran Canaria, representing Colombia on an international stage. That same year, her song “Pasa” was selected among the Top 10 songs of the Feria de Cali by Decibeles, reaffirming her impact within the music scene.
Her latest album, #NuCumbia, produced by multi–Latin GRAMMY® Award winner Larry Coll, features collaborations with notable artists such as Tato Marenco, Daniela Padrón, Valeria Cid, and Benavides, marking a milestone in the evolution of her sound.
In 2024, she was recognized as one of the three most beloved artists in the state of Colorado by Indie 102.3 (Colorado Public Radio), reflecting her genuine connection with diverse audiences. She is also featured in the book “Mujeres de Caña Dulce,” which highlights the 100 most influential women in music and culture from Valle del Cauca.
The year 2025 marked a new chapter in her career with the release of three singles: “Son de Paz,” “Todo va a estar bien”—in collaboration with the legendary Proyecto Uno—and “La Chismosa,” whose music video surpassed 600,000 views within its first weeks. That same year, she was invited by the Miami Marlins to perform the United States National Anthem and took her NuCumbia show on tour across Colorado, further solidifying her presence on the live music scene.
Beyond her music, Virgi Dart represents a new generation of independent artists who, through migration, authenticity, and innovation, are redefining what it means to be Latin in the contemporary world.
Each of her songs is a sonic embrace, a celebration of the heart, and a powerful reminder that music is not only something we hear—it is also a place where we belong.
