Our April offering for Vinyl Sundays sees one of our most enthusiastic supporters, Rob, bring us South London’s Dry Cleaning with their third album Secret Love. Leading lights of the “sprechgesang”movement, Secret Love sees the band move their sound on to include more sung elements. It was also a departure in other ways as the band chose Welsh singer songwriter Cate Le Bon to production duties after previous working with John Parish, PJ Harvey’s musical collaborator. The sound on this, their latest album, also sees them expand their sound palette into other forms that aren’t just angular new wave guitars but exploring other sounds too.
