3 Hours of Long Playing Records on our vintage kit.Featuring the favourite and/or most meaningful albums from this week's guest, Baldock’s musical god, Gee La Roche!
Don't expect crowd-pleasers - there will no doubt be wierd, wonderful, rare and eclectic music suiting some, all, or none of your tastes!
Expect the unexpected, so have a couple of beers, sit back with a drink and listen.
4pm-7pm in the Public Bar.
Audience Rules:-
- Please respect the music, no complaining!
- Please show your appreciation!
- It will be loud, so if you don't like that, or don't like the music being played, there's peace and quiet in the snug and lounge.
Owner's Rules:-
- We play your records for you and host the event, you sit back and relax!
- You get free beer from 3.45pm and throughout the event until the last record finishes.
- No telling people what you'll be playing, it's meant to be a surprise!
- Remember this is all about you, the records that mean something to you or the ones you love the most! It's absolutely not about pleasing eveyone else, so don't even try!
Record Rules:-
- Eight 33 1/3 rpm standard 12" Vinyl Records
- One side per album, with both sides the 8th album if you wish
- Only one single-artist compilation allowed
- No multi-artist compilations, no Ronco, K-Tel or covers/tribute acts.
- Only one Live single-artist compilation allowed.
- Keep the offensive and sweary-mary stuff at home, we're still a pub after all!
- Please provide a playing order and preferred side for each album.
We clean the albums before playing them, and they are kept separate from their covers in new, clean, static-free sleeves during the event.
Each album cover will be displayed whilst it is being played. If you don't want the public touching them, please let us know.
Please drop your records off by 12 noon on Sunday, and you can take them home any time after the event, they'll be stored safely in our box.
