Vinyasa emphasizes connecting movement and breath, creating a balance of body and mind throughout the class.
Although no prior yoga experience is required, participants should have a basic level of functional fitness, as Vinyasa yoga can involve both strength and balance. All poses can be modified to match each student’s experience level.
Participants should bring their own yoga mat or towel, wear comfortable clothing that allows for a wide range of motion, and bring a sweater or hoodie and a pair of socks for comfort in the final resting pose.
Danielle George has been practicing yoga and meditation since 1996 and travelled to India in 1997. She became a certified yoga instructor in 2006 under the guidance of David Hollander and Christopher Hildebrandt at the Yoga Sutra Studio in Manhattan, while also practicing law full-time. Danielle retired from the practice of law in 2023 and currently teaches yin yoga and vinyasa yoga to both private students and groups.
