About this Event
Vinyasa flow yoga is accessible to a wide range of capabilities. The class follows an effort curve beginning with opening up and warming the body, building into a series of standing sequences, a progression towards longer seated holds to take advantage of the heat generated, and final restoration leaving the body and mind in the perfect state at the end of your day.
Vinyasa is often translated as "flow" because the practice connects poses to breath and transitions. A more technical translation is "linking mechanism" which refers to the breath. Vinyasa yoga is a practice of breath control (pranayama) linked to physical postures (asana) that brings peace of mind, a sense of wellness, and a balanced of strength & flexibility.
Class is 60 minutes long, non-heated, and perfect for beginners & intermediate practitioners.
Some props are available at the studio. Mats, blankets, and cushions to sit on are readily available (more to come in the future). It is advised that you bring your own props if you absolutely need a particular prop for your practice.
This class is donation based with a minimum $5 donation. Cash, Venmo, or donation through Eventbrite are available.
Space is limited to 7 people so please RSVP or check-in before arriving.
Stay afterwards for tea and mantra meditation!
