🚂🚌 Vintage Transport Experience 2026 – A Great Day Out for the Whole Family! 🚌🚂The Ribble Vehicle Preservation Trust is delighted to be partnering with the Ribble Steam Railway to bring you a unique Vintage Transport Experience on Saturday 8th August 2026.
📍 Ribble Steam Railway, Preston (PR2 2PD)
🕥 10:30am – 4:30pm
Step back in time and enjoy a wonderful day celebrating Britain's transport heritage. Start your adventure with a nostalgic journey behind a steam locomotive on the Ribble Steam Railway before boarding one of our vintage buses for a trip to the Ribble Vehicle Preservation Trust depot.
There you can explore an impressive collection of beautifully preserved buses and coaches spanning from the 1930s through to the early 2000s, including many iconic Ribble and Stagecoach vehicles. Our volunteers will be on hand to share the stories behind the vehicles and the work involved in preserving them for future generations.
Whether you're a transport enthusiast, a family looking for a great day out, or simply interested in local history, there's something for everyone to enjoy.
