Vine Congregational will host its annual Old World Christmas Market on Friday, Dec. 5 (4pm-8pm) and Saturday, Dec. 6 (9am-4pm). Shoppers will be welcomed to a town square reimagined inside the church with wooden booths, holiday lights, live music, and seasonal foods to celebrate the traditions and festivities of Christmas. Join in a community carol sing on Saturday at 1pm or listen to musicians perform on trumpet, voice, piano and more throughout the market time.
In the wooden booth square, Nebraska artisans will be selling hand-crafted wares and gifts including wooden bowls, pottery, pet treats, honey, hot sauce, candles, fresh greenery, ornaments, fiber art, handmade candies, and baked goods like German Christmas Stollen. The café area will have hot soup, baked apple dumplings and more.
Experience the sights, sounds, scents and ambience of a European Christmas Market without leaving Lincoln.
Admission and parking are free.
Funds raised will help the church with special projects, and 10 percent of the church’s receipts will go to the Food Bank of Lincoln.
