Join us for the Villagers’ Winter Solstice on Sunday December 21st. This free event welcomes all to #6 park to celebrate the sacred mystery and beauty of the still point of the year, the joy of community, and the return of the sun, which is celebrated by cultures across the Northern Hemisphere on this day.The event is co-created by multiple organizations, creatives and volunteers from Cumberland and beyond! Costumes welcome! This is a participatory celebration.
4:00- 4:15 – Gathering and Fire Lighting with Danu Folk School
4:15-5:00 – Lighting of candles, words, music, pagan theatrics
5:00 – 5:30 – Silent forest walk, music and fire performance
5:30 – head off into the night ❤
