Viktoria Lloyd-Barlow: Writing from Within

Join us for an inspiring and insightful discussion with Viktoria Lloyd-Barlow, whose debut novel All the Little Bird Hearts was longlisted for the 2023 Booker Prize. Viktoria studied at the University of Kent and has two first-class degrees and a PhD in creative writing. Like her protagonist Sunday, she is autistic.
This event will explore the neurodivergent themes of her novel, the journey of writing authentically from personal experience, and the broader landscape of contemporary literature.
Chaired by Chloe Timms, a writer (The Seawomen), disability campaigner, mentor, and podcast host from Whitstable, this conversation promises to be deeply engaging.
Hear from two remarkable authors who have made significant contributions to literature and disability advocacy. For those who are fans of contemporary fiction, interested in the intersections of disability and creativity, or simply curious about the journey of debut authors.
