Join Viet Hub NZ for a comforting winter cooking workshop featuring Bánh Canh Cua, a rich and hearty Vietnamese crab noodle soup known for its thick, silky noodles and flavourful seafood broth.In this hands-on session, you will learn how to:
• Prepare and season a traditional crab-based broth
• Work with thick tapioca or rice noodles
• Balance flavours and textures with crab meat and fresh herbs
• Present the dish beautifully, Vietnamese style
Bánh Canh Cua is a beloved Southern Vietnamese dish, often enjoyed as a nourishing family meal. Its naturally thick broth and delicate sweetness from crab make it perfect for cooler days.
Participants will cook together, share stories, and enjoy tasting the finished bowl as a group.
To help keep these classes sustainable and support ongoing community activities, there will be an additional $10/person (13+ years old) contribution if you pay online. Walk-ins are accepted but the fee would be $12/person (13+ years old).
This helps cover:
• Facilitator effort and preparation
• Admin and coordination work
• The ability to continue running and expanding community workshops
