About this Event
🚶♀️Bisamberg: A Vienna Wine Walk
Walk through a part of Vienna most people never find. Bisamberg sits on the city's northern edge, in Floridsdorf – non-touristy, uncommercial, less expensive and romantic. The landscape is rolling green hills, trees, Heurigen and very few houses, with views back across the city you won't get anywhere else.
No city in the world produces as much wine as Vienna – around 80% of what is produced is white, and a similar percentage is drunk in Heurigen themselves - particularly the cheeky white known as g'mischter Satz, which is basically only produced inside our city limits. The wine culture was planted by the Romans (Vindobona) and the Viennese have been perfecting it ever since.
On this scenic walk, we will look at the city from a new perspective, celebrate local flavours and songs and enjoy a glass or two.
