Η Art Seen με χαρά σας προσκαλεί στην έκθεση του Βασίλη Ζωγράφου και της Βίκυς Περικλέους τη Πεμπτη, 3 Απριλίου στις 19:00. «Η έκθεση, αναπτύσσεται μέσα από ένα έκκεντρο και συνειρμικό διάλογο προς μία εικαστική διερεύνηση, η οποία πρωτίστως χορογραφεί τον αθέατο, ενδιάμεσο χώρο. Τον διαλεκτικό δηλαδή, χώρο ανάμεσα στους δύο, τον χώρο ανάμεσα στα έργα, καθώς και αυτόν που εν δυνάμει, ανακύπτει μέσα από τις ερμηνείες των θεατών. Η εγκατάσταση η οποία συγκροτείται, πλέον, στον χώρο, μέσα από μια σειρά χώρο-χρονικών επεκτάσεων, αναδιπλώσεων και συμπτύξεων, -ως απόρροια εικαστικών επιτελέσεων και υποθέσεων-, μπορεί εν τέλει, να εγγραφεί ή να εκληφθεί ως ο απο-ήχος ή και ως η –διαδραστική- ηχώ ενός ή πολλαπλών συμβάν-των.
..Ο τίτλος της έκθεσης ανακαλεί το έργο του Man Ray, «L’Enigme d’Isidore Ducasse»,1920 και ο υπότιτλος παραπέμπει στην ομώνυμη φράση στο ποίημα του Χόρχε Λούις Μπόρχες «The Enigmas» (Τα Αινίγματα), από τη συλλογή «Jorge Luis Borges, Selected Poems, 1923-1967» του 1972.
… Αυτή η συνεργατική εγκατάσταση, με πρόθεση να εμπλακεί το αθέατο ως υπαρκτό και το άυλο ως ενεργό για να επεξεργαστούν και να προεκτείνουν το ορατό και το αντιληπτό, συνιστά πρωτίστως μια πράξη πολιτική.
H Αλεξάνδρα Αθανασιάδου (PhD, ιδρύτρια και διευθύντρια του PHLSPH – Philosophy & Photography Lab) σημειώνει: ‘Αυτό το νέο ρεύμα που προκύπτει και ενσωματώνεται από τον ενεργά εμπλεκόμενο θεατή αποτελεί κοινό σημείο ενδιαφέροντος και για τους δύο δημιουργούς, καθώς τα έργα στέκονται ανοιχτά, από-κρυσταλλοποιημένα, αποδεσμευμένα από τα όρια των κλειστών αφηγημάτων, σε συνεχή διάλογο μεταξύ τους και με τον τρίτο – εάν ακόμη ισχύουν αυτές οι θέσεις θέασης.
Σε αυτόν τον χώρο, μεταξύ αιώρησης και αποσταθεροποίησης συμβόλων και ριζωμένων εικόνων στο φαντασιακό, τα έργα του Βασίλη Ζωγράφου και της Βίκυς Περικλέους παρουσιάζονται. Και το ερώτημα τίθεται εκ νέου: εάν ήταν ήχοι, από πού θα προέρχονταν;’’

Art Seen is delighted to announce Vicky Pericleous and Vasilis Zografos duo solo exhibition opening on Thursday the 3rd of April 2025 at 7pm. "The exhibition unfolds through a subversive and associative dialogue toward a visual investigation, which primarily choreographs the unseen, intermediary space. That is, the dialectical space between the two, the space between the works, as well as the one that potentially arises through the viewers’ interpretations.
The site-specific installation that emerges in space through a set of spatiotemporal expansions, folds and compactions, - a product of visual performativities and speculations- could, at last, be inscribed or re-thought as the after-sound, or even as the –interactive- echo of one or multiple events.
The title of the exhibition recalls Man Ray's work L’Enigme d’Isidore Ducasse (1920), and the subtitle refers to the eponymous phrase in Jorge Luis Borges' poem The Enigmas from the collection Jorge Luis Borges, Selected Poems, 1923-1967 (1972).
This collaborative installation, intending to involve the unseen as existent and the intangible as active in order to process and extend the visible and the perceptible, is primarily a political act.
Alexandra Athanasiadou (founder and director of PHLSPH – Philosophy & Photography Lab) expands on the exhibition: "This new electric current that arises and is integrated by the actively engaged viewer locates a common point of interest for both artists, as the works stand openly, de-crystallized, released from the boundaries of closed narratives and in a continuous dialogue with each other and with the third — if these viewing positions are still valid.
In this space, between suspension and destabilization of symbols and rooted images in the imaginary, the works of Vasilis Zografos and Vicky Pericleous are presented. And the question is posed again: if they were sounds, where would they come from?"
