VFW 2894's 15th Annual Bataan Death March (BDM) Walk, April 18th, 2026, at the Dismal Swamp Trail, Chesapeake Virginia. This is our annual remembrance of the estimated 80,000 prisoners including the 5,000-18,000 Americans and Filipinos who died during the 65-mile, WW II force march during WW II.
Our mission is twofold; one, to educate today's generation on the sacrifices of the greatest generation and two, to generate funds to aid us in our mission to help veterans in Chesapeake/Hampton Roads. The event is comprised of three walks: - 16.6 miles (Start 7:00 AM) - 5 miles (Start 10:00 AM) - 1 mile (Start 11:00 AM).
