About this Event
Exclusively for Teens aged 15-18, this one week summer acting intensive will explore how environments and imagination can bring futuristic worlds to life. Participants will practice specificity and an understanding of genre to create high stakes performances in a filmed green screen experience.
Course Details:
- Schedule: August 10 - 14th, 9am-4pm
- Location: In-person, 151 W Cordova StVancouver, BC V6B 5K3
- Cost: CAD500
- *Please note: You will be required on Day 1 at 8:30am to attend the welcome oritenation, after that your schedule will continue from 9am - 4pm (schedule provided a couple of weeks before start date)
Learning Objectives:
- Learn essential acting techniques, from using your voice and body as a core instrument of play, to vital audition techniques
- Discover how to explore and research scripts to develop your own unique take on a character
- Learn how professional actors interact on film sets
- Film a short scene that showcases your understanding of imaginary circumstances
What you'll need:
- Comfortable clothing
Prerequisites:
- This course is for teens aged 15-18
- Students are not required to have any previous training or experience.
- Language requirement: Intermediate-level English (minimum requirement of IELTS 6.0)
