July 20-23 | 12:00-3:00This hands-on veterinary science camp introduces students to basic animal care and veterinary concepts in a structured, age-appropriate learning environment. Students will explore how veterinarians care for animals while learning more about animal health, behavior, and responsible pet care.
Throughout the week, students will learn foundational topics such as basic animal anatomy, pet care routines, animal behavior, habitats, wellness checks, and the tools veterinarians use in their work. Lessons are designed to be engaging while reinforcing observation skills and careful attention to detail.
Students will participate in guided, age-appropriate activities including simulated wellness exams, heartbeat listening demonstrations, symptom observation exercises, and animal care investigations. They will also create simple animal care charts and explore how different animals have different needs based on their environment and species.
This course helps students build empathy, responsibility, and critical thinking skills while learning how veterinary professionals care for animals in real-world settings.
