FRIENDSHIP TRAIL WORKDAY — SATURDAY, APRIL 11TH @ 10AMWe need your help as volunteers!
The event organizers will be at Veterans Park on Saturday, April 11th from 10AM–2PM CST to clear the woods around the Friendship Trail (northern end of soccer fields) for campsite usage by reenactors in October.
We need help with the following tasks:
Clearing dead branches & weeds from campsite areas
Staking out boundaries for Allied vs. Axis campsites
Moving fallen logs & branches from the path
General upkeep of the path through the woods
Who is invited to participate:
Members of the public
WWII Reenactors
Anyone who wants to lend a hand!
What to bring:
Work gloves/clothes
Tools: hacksaws, shovels, sawzalls, hatchets, wheelbarrows, or any battery-powered cutting tools
A can-do attitude
This is a great opportunity to chat with event organizers and help make our October event a reality. Coffee and donuts will be provided to volunteers. 🍩☕
