Upon completing two years in the Air Force, Airmen vest in the Thrift Savings Plan (TSP). This means that all Service Automatic contributions made to their TSP accounts during their first two years become theirs to keep. Airmen who contribute to their TSP accounts are also then eligible for matching contributions from DoD, up to 5% of basic pay.
