🌞 Dvakrát churavé Slunce a dva přístupy k záchraně Země v jediný večer. K filmové novince Spasitel s Ryanem Goslingem v hlavní roli přidáme i snímek Dannyho Boyla Sunshine z roku 2007.
V obou případech se řeší fatální problém vyhasínání Slunce a jeho katastrofický dopad na veškerý život na planetě Zemi. Zatímco ve Spasiteli jde o tajemnou látku ovlivňující sluneční záření, s níž má co do činění učitel přírodopisu, jediný přeživší člen vesmírné posádky na zoufalé záchranné misi, ve starším filmu Sunshine se osmičlenná posádka snaží oživit dokonávající hvězdu svržením obří nukleární bomby na její povrch.
Za oběma apokalyptickými ódami na Slunce stojí hluboce poutavý příběh a scénář. Ve Spasiteli jde přímo o adaptaci románu populárního sci-fi autora a softwarového inženýra Andyho Weira, autora Marťana. Ve vizuálně uhrančivém Sunshine se filozofickými úvahami o smyslu lidské existence zaobírá spisovatel a scenárista (a také i režisér) pozoruhodných, hloubavých i akčně-hororových katastofických sci-fi filmů Alex Garland.

🌞 Two times the Sun is dying and two approaches to saving Earth in one evening. We will add Danny Boyle's 2007 film Sunshine to the new film Project Hail Mary, starring Ryan Gosling.
In both cases, the fatal problem of the Sun dying out and its catastrophic impact on all life on planet Earth is addressed. While Project Hail Mary deals with a mysterious substance affecting solar radiation, which a science teacher has to deal with, the only surviving member of a space crew on a desperate rescue mission, in the older film Sunshine, an eight-member crew attempts to revive a dying star by dropping a giant nuclear bomb into its core.
Behind both apocalyptic odes to the Sun lies a deeply compelling story and screenplay: Project Hail Mary is a direct adaptation of the novel by popular science fiction author and software engineer Andy Weir, author of The Martian, while the visually mesmerizing Sunshine deals with philosophical reflections on the meaning of human existence by writer and screenwriter (and also director) Alex Garland, creator of remarkable, thoughtful, and action-horror disaster sci-fi films.
