About this Event
This series will teach how to knit socks from the top down. Prerequisite skills include casting on, the knit stitch and the purl stitch. This class will meet on eight consecutive Tuesdays in March and April (March 4, 11, 18 and 25; April 1, 8, 15 and 22) from 11 am to 12:30 pm at The Westport Library.
Registration includes all 8 classes in the series.
You have a choice of knitting a regular-weight sock, or a worsted-weight sock to wear in slippers or around the house. A supply list will be sent to you after registration that will tell you the size knitting needle and weight of yarn to bring for your selection. Patterns will be distributed at the first class.
Depending on your knitting expertise and the time you can spend out of class, it might not take 8 weeks for you to complete a pair of socks. The 8 weeks allows you to make mistakes or even miss a class and still make up any lesson missed.
