Join the VERSES Adult Literacy Class: Zora!
Are you ready to take a deep dive into the live and works of one of the dopest literary legends? Forget the dusty text books you had when you were attending public school - they didn't teach much about her anyway - this Adult Literacy seminar is a vibrant exploration of Zora Neale Hurston's incredible life and brilliant works! This is VERSES, brought to you by Cydny Consults!
We're unpacking the wit, wisdom, and glorious unbridled spirit of a phenomenal woman who was smart enough to get to earn degrees, put in the work and make folklore sizzle with her use of Black Vernacular. Come, be in community with us as we savor the language, explore the cultural richness, life and legacy of literary legend, Zora Neale Hurston!
What to expect:
- Expect an insightful discussion with like-minded adult scholars with an interest and passion for her work, explore her life and some of her works, as well as be engaged in activities and discussion that celebrate and amplify Zora!
- Each participant will be provided access to specially curated curriculum materials aligned with our VERSES session.
- Expect to learrn what you didn't learn in public school through Cydny Consults' VERSES series!

- This is the first installment in a series of adult learning engagement sessions focused on Black literacy and Culture!
- A minimum of FIVE registrants are necessary for a class session.
