About this Event

Writing compelling, realistic dialogue can be a challenge, so join us for Writers' Room: Dialogue and get some useful tips to take your script to the next level. There will be a brief instructional period followed by hands-on writing exercises. You can bring something you're working on or start something new!

BAVC Media will partner with knowledgeable instructors, Jonathan Kiefer and Xandra Castleton, to bring modern screenwriting techniques to the Bay Area.

Xandra Maria Castleton, M.F.A., is a screenwriter, director, producer, script consultant, and educator whose scripts have served as the basis for award-winning documentary, television, and narrative film projects.

Jonathan Kiefer is a screenwriter, producer, director, editor of film publications, festival juror, and cinema critic for publications including Film Comment, The New York Times, Screen Slate, and the Village Voice.
