On the twentieth anniversary of the enlargement of the European Union, in the third year of the war in Ukraine, nearly thirty years after the end of the bloody conflict in the Balkans and amid the rise of populist movements across Europe – we invite you to an exhibition of documentary photography centred on the values of unity, solidarity, community and responsibility. The featured projects capture both poignant acts of solidarity and unsettling images of fractured communities struggling to find common ground. The title 'United We Stand' embodies the power of unity, while the selected works serve as a stark reminder of the perils of division and the enduring need for cooperation and collective action. ✊🕊️📷 Projects by artists: Michał Adamski (Poland), Alexander Chekmenev (Ukraine), Fabrice Dekoninck (France/Belgium), Michaela Nagyidaiová (Slovakia)
Curator: Marta Szymańska
Coordinator: Radek Lipka
Organised by CinEast in collaboration and with the support of Neimënster. 🤝🏻
The opening of the exhibition will take place on Wed. 2 October from 18:30h (free entrance) and will be followed by a drink. 🥂
In the presence of the curator and some of the artists.
Exhibition lasts until 20 October! ⏰
