Vernal pools are unique wetland habitats, and home to many species that are unable to live elsewhere. Several species of salamanders, frogs, and invertebrates can be found living in these temporary ponds. We will have a quick introduction followed by a visit to the Arcadia vernal pool looking for frog eggs, fairy shrimp, as well as other species.
