Training Description:

The goal of this training is to offer current or future users of Veoci COOPgov an overview of Continuity in Oregon and how Veoci fits into this vantage, provide an understanding of how Veoci COOPgov works and flows, and walk through step-by-step a quick fake plan to demonstrate the whole software planning solution for learners. Learners should feel empowered to begin or renew their fervor in their plans after completing the course.

This training is not designed for you to write an entire continuity plan in one day. This training does not explicitly include continuity planning concepts or State Government expectations, but if there are questions existing at the intersection of Veoci and continuity planning, program management, and plan operationalization, then the State of Oregon’s Continuity Coordinators will be available to answer questions. Please read the following information to ensure your successful participation in training:

  1. Please ensure that you can log in 3 business days prior to class. If you need any assistance, reach out to the State Continuity Coordinators at [email protected] .
  2. Food, snacks, and beverages are not provided. However, there are nearby options for meals and snacks around the training facilities. Refrigerators are available, and if there are other requirements, then please reach out to us and ask.
  1. It will be crucial each attendee brings a computer as well as real/sample data (preferably in .CSV or Excel files), as we will be developing continuity of operations plans throughout the day. Examples of data could include staff, essential functions, vital records/resources, facilities, communication methods, orders of succession, delegations of authority or other documents you would like appended to your plan. Templates for some information can be found linked in your departmental side room.

This training is designed to provide a constructive space for learners to be introduced to the Veoci COOPgov platform and begin their journey toward mastering it. If you have any challenges navigating the platform or have specific questions related to the course content, this is the perfect opportunity to ask!

If you have concerns regarding the platform, the training process, or any other feedback, please share them directly with the State’s Continuity Program Coordinators at [email protected]. We will be on-site everyday, but our focus is truly on learning. We do work closely with Veoci Software Engineers to address user feedback and ensure your concerns are integrated into ongoing improvements or explain why such improvements cannot be made at this time.

We look forward to seeing you there and hope you find the training valuable!

Accessibility Requests and Questions:

If you have any questions, or to request any reasonable accommodations that will facilitate your full participation in this training, please contact the OEM Training Program ([email protected]). Please reach out at least two weeks in advance to request any accommodations.
